HackWithInfy Recruitment Process

HackWithInfy is a competitive coding marathon that serves as Infosys's primary talent acquisition program for higher-tier engineering roles. The program consists of an online coding challenge, a grand finale hackathon, and interviews.

The recruitment process is highly selective - only the top performers from thousands of participants receive pre-placement interview (PPI) opportunities for roles like Power Programmer and Digital Specialist Engineer.

The process consists of: Registration → Mock Test → Round 1 (Online Coding) → Round 2 (Grand Finale, Top 100) → Technical Interview → Role Assignment.

Each stage is described in detail below.

1. Round 1: Online Coding Challenge

A 3-hour virtual individual coding test on the Infosys Assessment Platform. Consists of 3 coding problems of increasing difficulty: Easy (basic algorithms/DS), Medium (Greedy algorithms), Hard (Dynamic Programming). Languages: C, C++, Java, Python, JavaScript. The firm screens applications based on eligibility criteria.

1.1. Evaluation Criteria

Number of test cases that the code passes, code efficiency, and optimization. Both sectional and overall cut-offs apply. Top performers are shortlisted based on overall scores.

2. Round 2: Grand Finale (Top 100)

A 4-day hackathon event at an Infosys campus for the top 100 participants from Round 1. Team-based participation (teams decided by Infosys). Teams develop impactful, future-ready solutions powered by AI. Top teams present to the jury. Travel and accommodation sponsored by Infosys.

Cash Prizes

1st place: ₹3,00,000. 2nd place: ₹1,50,000. 3rd place: ₹1,00,000. Champion of Champions award for best individual performer.

3. Technical Interview (PPI)

Pre-placement interview based on online test performance, resume, DSA skills, and latest technology knowledge. Questions cover competitive programming concepts, algorithms, data structures, system design, and resume projects. HR-type questions may also be included. The interview determines the final role assignment.

4. Role Assignment and Offer

Final role is assigned based on combined Round 1 performance and interview performance. Candidates may receive 2-3 interview chances for different role levels. Selected candidates receive pre-placement offers. Training at Infosys includes 3 months of soft skills, communication, and tech stack training.
