Profile

Ravi is a recent graduate enthusiastic about analytics and data science. He has worked on multiple projects involving statistical analysis and machine learning. He has also presented a paper on machine learning at a national conference. He applied for a Data Analyst position.

Foundation Section: Basic Aptitude

In this section, I faced questions related to logical reasoning, quantitative aptitude, and English comprehension.

I found this to be a straightforward round, thanks to my preparation. My background in engineering mathematics particularly helped me in this section.

Round 1: Advanced Reasoning and Quantitative Assessment

The first round was challenging but engaging, covering a variety of logical and numerical questions.

Although I found some of the distance and direction questions tricky, I managed to complete the number systems and percentages sections successfully. This round served as an apt screening for my analytical abilities.

Round 2: Advanced Coding

The coding round had two complex problems. One was related to time series analysis, and the other was about NLP (Natural Language Processing). While I had done some prior work on time series, NLP was relatively new to me. However, I relied on my core programming skills and managed to get through.

Round 3: Technical Interview

The technical interview focused on my understanding of various data analytics tools like Tableau, R, and SQL. I was also asked to explain some of the projects listed on my resume in detail.

The questions were precise, probing into the depths of my knowledge and skills.

Round 4: HR Interview

The HR round was somewhat relaxed but included a few curveballs. Questions were mainly based around team dynamics, my long-term goals, and how I handle stress.

The interviewer seemed genuinely interested in my responses, making my overall experience pleasant and insightful.

Degree: M.Tech in Software Engineering

Profile

Priya is a motivated candidate who has interned in agile development environments. She has also led a team of five during a semester project involving real-time data synchronization. She is skilled in Java, Python, and DevOps practices. She applied for a Software Developer role.

Foundation Section: Basic Aptitude

The foundation round included questions about logical reasoning, basic math, and English language. Having prepared for this section, I felt at ease answering the questions. My preparation in critical reasoning and problem-solving proved advantageous.

Round 1: Advanced Reasoning and Quantitative Assessment

This round was intellectually stimulating, with questions spanning a wide array of topics like numerical patterns and blood relations.

I had prepared beforehand, which helped me manage my time effectively. The complexity of the questions kept me engaged throughout the round.

Round 2: Advanced Coding

This round included two coding challenges: one was a basic CRUD (Create, Read, Update, Delete) application, and the other was related to API development.

I felt at ease as these were topics I had worked on during my internships, and thus I completed both problems efficiently.

Round 3: Technical Interview

The technical interview was challenging but rewarding. Questions ranged from OOPs concepts to specific queries about version control and branching strategies in Git.

Although I was caught off guard by a question related to microservices, I think I managed to explain my thought process clearly, which seemed to satisfy the interviewer.

Round 4: HR Interview

The final HR round was less stressful but equally important. The focus here was on soft skills and cultural fit. I was asked about my interests outside of work and how I manage conflicts in a team setting.

The HR was very congenial, and this round left me feeling positive about the whole interview process.
